What is your worst nightmare?

8 comments:

  1. I have 2 kinds and they have been repetitive over the years.

The first is those that always have me driving into ditches, down the hills, into large drains. Scary ... once I even pinched myself in my dream to see if I am really dreaming or not and the funny was that, it hurts.

The second is those I dream I am being attacked by evil spirits and I will want to call on the name of Jesus but nothing comes out - only because I was sleeping and the vocal chords and muscles too - so in my dream I will struggle to speak His name but just can't. Once I found myself actually letting out a small scream and I woke up sweating.

    There, my worst recurring nightmareS.

And what do you know, Word Verification: temptx

  2. hmm, pearlie, temptx. Think the Lord is trying to tell you something?

Thanks for sharing your nightmare. I have similar nightmares about being lost in old buildings with endless corridors.

I find your description of the second type of nightmare fascinating. I have heard it from many other Christians of being attacked by a dark shadow- being smothered, strangled or pressed. At the time of the attack, many seems paralysed but the shadow flee at the Name of Jesus.

  3. can't remember any nightmares during my adult life, but when i was younger, i had recurring dreams of being chased by T.Rexs & the only way i could escape was to fly by flapping my arms, like a bird.

I don't have them anymore but I remember repeatedly having one about hell after I watched a very scary cartoon version of the devil in hell - thanks Walt Disney :(
